Sales Order Purge is Slow (Doc ID 3056617.1)

Symptoms

On Oracle Order Management  12.2.12 version


The process of creating a purge set using "Order Purge Selection" concurrent program took more than 24 hours to complete. Applying Patch 34493107 improved the performance of the Purge set creation as explained in Note 2911090.1.

But the performance is very slow when trying to purge the actual sales orders from the created purge set.

Steps to reproduce:

To Submit the purge Request

  1. Navigate to the Order Purge window
  2. OM > Orders, Returns > Purge > Purge Set
  3. Query by Purge Set name.
  4. Submit the purge set
  5. Notice that the purge process of the orders can take hours to complete.
