Symptoms

When running the txkOnPremPrePDBCreationTasks.pl script to upgrade the database to Oracle database release 19c, the following error occurs:

ERROR

PROGRAM : (txkOnPremPrePDBCreationTasks.pl)

FUNCTION: main::checkRACInstances [ Level 1 ]
ERRORMSG: Shutdown all the other RAC instances to proceed further.

FUNCTION: main::checkRACInstances [ Level 1 ]
ERRORMSG: Shutdown all the other RAC instances to proceed further.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Running the txkOnPremPrePDBCreationTasks.pl script according to the 19c multitenant document (Doc ID 2580629.1).
  2. Execution command for script:

    On UNIX/Linux:
