Average Cost Update Form fails updating Cost Group LOV ORA-01422 error

Symptoms
On : 12.2.X version
When attempting to perform an average cost update and within the noted form/LOV an entry of a cost group with an underscore is treated as a wild card and if there should be similar results, selecting the value with the underscore will raise ORA-01422. When toggling to show the form validations additional error is received - FRM-04735: WHEN-VALIDATE-ITEM trigger raised unhandled exception.
