Symptoms

Unable to create the journals and system is throwing the below error.

APP-FND-00828 Please enter the required context filed value in the Enter Journals: Lines flexfield . The context filed (also know as a structure filed) appears as one of the first segment in your flexfield.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1. Go into the responsibility: 'General Ledger Responsibility'.

2. Navigate to Journal > Enter > Journals.

3. Enter an journal.

4. The mentioned error is displayed.
