Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

After migration of OBIEE 11g to Oracle Analytics Server 6.4, few of the existing reports and data models started throwing error "Invalid parameters requested".

This issue happens when selecting specific values from LOV(List of Values) type parameters of the data model or BIP report. Same reports work fine in 11g.

Additionally this only happens when selecting values from few specific parameters and some of them work perfectly.

Steps to replicate.

(Note that replication requires a custom report using LOV parameters.)

  1. Login to XMLP server.
  2. Edit the identified data model that is known to have issues with LOV type Parameter.
  3. Click  Data in Data model editor.
  4. Select 'ALL' in the parameter and click view data to notice the data is displayed correctly
  5. Select Specific value from the available list of values in the same parameter.
  6. Click View Data iand notice the error 'Invalid parameters requested'.
