AFPASSWD ORA-00942 Error and CORE DUMP after 12.2.14 RUP (Doc ID 3064561.1)

Symptoms

When attempting to execute AFPASSWD -L TRUE to lock schemas after applying patches, the following error occurs.

ERROR
-----------------------

ORACLE error 942 in afp_rpt_tblspool
Cause: afp_rpt_tblspool failed due to ORA-00942: table or view does not exist.
The SQL statement being executed at the time of the error was: select t.mesg_text from fnd_cpass_sysmsg_tmp t order by t.Num_sequence, t.last_update and was executed from the file &ERRFILE.



STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Apply patch 36026788 (Oracle E-Business Suite 12.2.14 Release Update Pack).
2. Execute the following command to lock schemas.

3. Attempt to resolve error by applying patch 36961988 per Doc ID 3056638.1.

BUSINESS IMPACT
-----------------------
Due to this issue, administrators are unable to securely lock schemas post-patch, which impacts system maintenance and security. This disrupts planned updates and could compromise compliance with security policies.
