Discrete Completions Data Load Performance Issue on wip-com-componenttxns Data Set and ORA-01555 Failure (Doc ID 3066256.1)

Symptoms

While running the Enterprise Command Center (ECC) Discrete Completions data load the wip-com-componenttxns data set key is having performance issues and ultimately failing with the following error in the log file:

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. (R) ECC Developer
  2. (N) Administration > Data Load Submission
  3. Enter the following parameters:
    1. Application Name = Discrete Completions
    2. Data Set = Component Transactions (wip-com-componenttxns)
    3. Load Type = Full Load
    4. Default Language = <Use defaulted value>
    5. Languages = <NULL>
    6. Log Level = Error
    7. Enable Trace = No
