Random Employees and Payroll Elements Are Costed To Suspense Account (Doc ID 3067025.1)

Symptoms

Random employees and/or random payroll elements are getting costed to the payroll suspense account.  The Costing concurrent request completes successfully, but some assignment actions may show an error message:

ORA-01426: numeric overflow
Cause: an oracle error has occurred. The failure was reported on table
FND_FLEX_KEYVAL.combination_id at location 3014


The issue is intermittent, but can be experienced with the following steps:

From HRMS Manager or equivalent responsibility:

1. Run Costing process
    Navigate: Processes and Reports > Submit Processes and Reports > Single Request

2. Run Costing Detail Report or Costing Summary Report and review results.  Find some costing transactions were charged to the suspense account.
    Navigate: Processes and Reports > Submit Processes and Reports > Single Request
