R12: AP/CE: The Create Accounting Process on the Secondary Is Failing With Error 95325: “The GL date DD-MON-YYY is not in an open or a future enterable period” Even Though the Related Period Is Open in GL (Doc ID 3067488.1)

Symptoms

When attempting to run the concurrent program Create Accounting in the Oracle Payables and Cash Management modules, the following error message occurs for the secondary ledger in several transactions:

 

Error Number: 95325
Error Message: The GL date DD-MON-YYY is not in an open or a future enterable period. Please select a valid GL date or open the period.

 

Steps to reproduce the issue:

  1. Log into Oracle applications using a Payables responsibility / Cash Management responsibility
  2. Submit concurrent program "Create Accounting"
    (N) Other> Requests > Run
  3. Enter "Create Accounting" for the name and hit tab
  4. Enter the operating unit and hit tab
  5. Fill out the parameters
  6. Click "OK"
  7. Review the concurrent request output
  8. Switch to General Ledger responsibility related to secondary ledger
  9. Setup - Open/Close
  10. Inquire by that period - Find
  11. The status is Open.
