Taxes Recoverable On Purchase Order(PO) But The Taxes Not Showing Recoverable On PO Matched Payables Invoices Imported From Third Party System (Doc ID 3068730.1)

Last updated on JANUARY 27, 2025

Applies to:

Oracle Financials for India - Version 12.1.3 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Taxes not showing recoverable on Purchase Order(PO) matched invoices imported from third party systems.

PO is created in EBS system with recoverable taxes. Taxes show up as recoverable in India tax details.
Receipt is created in EBS and also shows recoverable taxes. The taxes are confirmed and the accounting is generated.

Payables(AP) Invoices are imported from third party system but the taxes show as non-recoverable in India tax details and the accounting is not hitting the recovery accounts.

It is expected that the PO matched imported AP Invoices should also have Recoverable taxes as present on the PO.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Navigate to India Local Purchasing > Purchase Order.
2. Create PO and go to Tools > India tax details and add recoverable taxes.
3. Save and approve the PO.
4. Navigate to India Local Purchasing > Receipts > Receiving.
5. Create Receipt for the above PO.
6. Go to tools > India tax details and find that it has recoverable taxes.
7. Confirm the taxes.
8. Use the OFI Tax Interface Functionality to Import PO matched AP Invoices from third party system.
9. Find that the imported invoice shows the taxes as non-recoverable.
