When Entering Daily Rates - Enter By Date Range Form, Status_code Is Set to O, Instead to C, As It Is Set When Entering Directly From Daily Rates Form (Doc ID 3069244.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 06, 2025

Applies to:

Oracle General Ledger - Version 12.2.7 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.
GLXRTDLY.fmb - Daily Rates

Symptoms

When entering daily rates through the Daily Rates - Enter By Date Range form, the status code is incorrectly set to 'O', instead of 'C'.
Because of this status code, when a second user upload other new rates and save the changes, "Change Translation Rates" Program will be triggered and will update the status code
and the who columns (last update by and date) for the new rates and for the previous rates too, which were created by the first user.
This issue occurs only when using the Daily Rates - Enter By Date Range form, which is not triggering "Change Translation Rates" Program, after saving the records.
If enter the rates from simple Daily Rates form for a specific date, the status code is saved with value 'C', which was set automatically by the triggered "Change Translation Rates" Program, after saving the records.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. GL responsibility
2. Setup: Currencies: Rates: Daily
3. Click on Enter by Date Range button to open Enter by Date Range form
4. Enter by different Currencies and dates and click Apply and cancel Enter Rates by Date Range form
5. From Daily Rates form, click on Find button and search the rates for specific dates
6. For the related records, click on Help> Record History to check Created By and Creation Date, Updated By, Update Date fields
7. Also, for the related records, click on Help> Diagnostics> Examine, change Field to STATUS_CODE and observe the value
