'Collections Child Send Dunning Process' Fails with Error 'Sending process failed: XML data generation failed' When Customer Fields Contain Junk Characters (Doc ID 3069663.1)

Symptoms

When attempting to run 'IEX: Send Dunnings for Delinquent Customers', the child program 'Oracle Collections Delivery XML Process' is not triggered and the following error occurs in the log file of 'Collections Child Send Dunning Process'.

Sending process failed: XML data generation failed.

 

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

Responsibility: Collections Agent
Navigation:        Menu > View > Requests > Submit a New Request... > Single Request

  1. Select from LOV > IEX: Send Dunnings for Delinquent Customers
  2. Provide the necessary parameters > [B] Submit
  3. Verify log file of 'Collections Child Send Dunning Process'
