Symptoms

When a user attempts to upload journals using the "Launch Journal Wizard", they encounter the following error:

"Please inform your support representative that: FLEXFIELDS SERVER-SIDE VALIDATION package reports error: fdfgli() exception: ORA-04061: existing state of has been invalidated."

The error occurs when the user selects the "Validate Before Upload" option in the Rows to Upload section of Upload Parameters and "Do Not Import" option in Descriptive Flexfields section of Upload Parameters.

However, the journal upload is successful when the user selects:

"Automatically Submit Journal Import" in the Rows to Upload section.
"Import With Validation" in the Descriptive Flexfields section.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1. Log in to General Ledger Responsibility.
2. Open Launch Journal Wizard.
