R12: AP: Error “APP-SQLAP-10816: You Cannot Delete or Update the Period Type While Dependent Period Information Exists” Occurs When Attempting To Delete a Calendar From the Special Calendar Form (Doc ID 3072327.1)

Symptoms

The following error message appears when the user attempts to delete a calendar from the Special Calendar form:

ERROR
---------------------------------------------------------------------

APP-SQLAP-10816: You cannot delete or update Period Type
while dependent Period Information exists.


The issue can be reproduced consistently with the following steps:

  1. Log in to Oracle E-Business Suite.
  2. From the Oracle Applications menu, select the Payables module.
  3. Under the Payables menu, select Setup.
  4. In the Setup submenu, choose Calendar.
  5. Select Special Calendar from the available options.
  6. Select the calendar from the List of Values (LOV).
  7. Click on Edit > Delete.
  8. The error message mentioned above will be displayed.
