R12:ZX:Inactive Tax Codes In Third Party Tax Profiles (Doc ID 3072881.1)

Symptoms

Party tax profiles in eBTax have end dated tax codes. So, the invoices related to the supplier sites are getting rejected in Payables interface with error "ZX_TAX_RATE_NOT_EFFECTIVE"

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Navigate to Payables Manager->View->Requests->Submit a single request->Payables Open Interface Import
  2. Review the output file and check if the invoices are rejected with error "ZX_TAX_RATE_NOT_EFFECTIVE"
  3. Navigate to Tax Managers > Home> Parties> Party Tax Profiles
  4. Query for third party name and third party site
  5. Click on Update and verify the tax code
  6. Navigate to Tax Managers->Home->Tax code->Query for the required tax code and check whether the code is enabled.
