iProcurement Item Search with Special Characters (Period and Slash '.%') Fails in iProcurement (Doc ID 3074952.1)

Item search with period and slash '.%' not working in iProcurement.
The dot seems gets replaced with space character.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
-------------------------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1. There is BPA item with Supplier Item as '314.020'
2. Go to iProcurmeent Homepage
3. Shop tab
4. Searcj with 314.020 item found
5. Search with 314% item found
6. Search item using 314.%, no results found. This seems searched as '314(space)%' and not hitting.
