Symptoms

When attempting to edit an existing BI Publisher report, the date icon is missing either by adding the date icon into a text item or clicking or saving another text item.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Login to xmlpserver(e.g. host:port/xmlpserver)
2. Create a new sample Data Model.
3. Create a new report for the new data model using the Wizard.
4. Then try to edit the Report Layout.
5. Then insert a text item and edit it.
6. Drag a date variable from the text tab into the text item.
7. Observe that the date item is missing.
8. Save or click on another item.
9. Observe the Date icon is missing.
