An Employee (say Employee A) had a dependent child (say Child C) with correct SSN details. This child was designated as a dependent in Oracle Advanced Benefits module. Later Child C was hired as an Employee but accidentally with incorrect SSN information. This caused the system to create a new person_id for the same person.

How to correct the Employees SSN and designate him as a dependent of Employee A in Oracle Advanced Benefits?

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1. Navigate to XX Super HRMS Manager responsibility.
2. Navigate to People > Benefits Service Center.
3. Query the Employee (Employee A in this case).
4. Navigate to View Enrollment results form.
5. Select an active enrollment say Medical.
6. Click on Designee.
7. Notice the child designated as the dependent is not the Employee record, but rather the originally created child record under the parent.
