Last updated on APRIL 09, 2025

Applies to:

Oracle Inventory Management - Version 12.2.9 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

In mtl_material_transactions(MMT), the transaction cost is wrong for an item with currency conversion causing purchase price variance(PPV)to be generated for the decimal value.

For example: Actual Cost - 58922516.495 Transaction cost - 58922516.5281393. So, a PPV is generated for 0.033 quantity

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Create Purchase Order
  2. Approve the purchase order
  3. Create Receipt for PO
  4. Run Cost Manager
  5. check the distributions in material transaction form for a PO receipt record
  6. PPV will be generated for decimal value
