Error When Trying To Change Element Priority: "APP-PAY-06149: You cannot update the processing priority" (Doc ID 312338.1)

Symptoms

Error is received when  attempting to change the processing priority associated with an Element.

Error:

APP-PAY-06149: You cannot update the processing priority.  
This may produce a formula result rule with a result that conflicts with the element that feeds it
Check the processing priority values of your elements.

 

Steps to reproduce the issue:

From XX HRMS Manager responsibility or equivalent:

  1. Navigate: Total Compensation > Basic > Element Description > query for element to be changed
  2. Change the Processing Priority
  3. Attempt to save and get error
