How To Change the Latest Start Date of an Employee? (Doc ID 329692.1)

Goal

What is the procedure on changing the Latest Start Date of a person?  That field is currently protected.

There is an employee who currently has a start date of 31-MAY-2005.  We need to change it to 01-JUL-2005.  When date tracked to this start date and the change is attempted,  the following error message is received:

APP-PAY-06841:  Person changes exist between the old date and the new date.

OR

APP-PAY-06839: Assignment changes exist between the old and new dates.

Therefore, the change to Latest Start Date cannot be saved.
