Error when clicking Check Availability - 'Cannot Read Value for ASO: ATP Default Ship To Site Profile'

Symptoms
Using iStore, the shopping cart page shows the following error:
"Cannot read value for profile option ASO: ATP Default Ship To Site"
The error is seen after the "Check Availability" button is click.
It is also noticed that there are no values available for the "ASO: ATP Default Customer" profile.
