Pasta Error: 'Reading Input File For Type Checking' When Printing Fulfillment Requests

Submitting a One-to-One Fulfillment request with an RTF Attachment, reports error: "Pasta: Error: reading input file for type checking".  The printer is assigned to a Pasta Print Server in One-to-One Fulfillment.

The following errors are reported in associated log files:

Concurrent Request log:
Pasta: Error: reading input file for type checking.
APP-FND-00500: AFPPRN received a return code of failure from routine FDUPRN. An error occurred
while AOL tried to spawn the print process.

Fulfillment Server log jtffmctl.txt:
[oracle.apps.xdo.template.FOProcessor][EXCEPTION] oracle.xml.parser.v2.XMLParseException:
 Invalid char in text.
