Recieve error when opening Accumulation Periods (Doc ID 334055.1)

Symptoms

Attempting to open accumulation period when the following error appears:

Cannot open a period when the previous period is set to Never Opened.
Errors have occurred in the update. Please click the Back button on your
browser and reenter the values.

Steps to Reproduce:
Responsibility: Incentive Compensation Super User
  Navigation:  Administration tab > Incentive subtab > Accumulation Period link
