After Field Service Debrief with a transaction type style of 'RETURN Material' get Error: 'Multiple Active Instances Found For The Item Attributes Provided' (Doc ID 337482.1)

After a Field Service Debrief with a transaction type style of 'RETURN Material' and after running the CSF DEBRIEF UPDATE LINES concurrent request, the following error occurs:

"Multiple active instances found for the item attributes provided.
Inventory Item ID : 111
Organization ID : 22
Sub-Inventory : SIBINV
Locator ID :
Action: Check for duplicate inventory records found in CSI_ITEM_INSTANCES"

 A similar error also is listed in the CSI Transactions Interface table for this item-subinventory combination but this time on a Subinventory Transfer.

CSFUPDATE module: CSF:Update Debrief Lines

The log file shows the same error.

As a consequence, you have several debriefs stuck with this error message and you cannot update Install Base or Inventory.

While the error complains of multiple active instances, when you check in Install Base, you cannot see any duplicate/multiple item instances for the same locator.  You can check for possible duplicate instance records by running the following sql:
