Drop Ship Order Cannot Be Updated:Person Who Entered The Order, &User, Is Not A Valid Employee (Doc ID 339474.1)

Symptoms

When attempting to progress the dropship sales order line, the following error occurs


ERROR

The person who entered the order, &User, is not a valid employee
and
User-Defined Exception in Package OE_Purchase_release_PVT.purchase_release

Steps
The issue can be reproduced at will for a new sales order with following steps below
1. Go to Order Management Responsibility>Orders, Returns>Sales Orders
2. Query the Dropship Sales Order and go to lines
3. Go to Booked Sales order line and select Actions>Progress Order
4. Notice that above mentioned error is displayed on the form
