How to Use the New Subinventory Field in Release Sales Order Form (Doc ID 340360.1)

Last updated on OCTOBER 31, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Shipping Execution - Version 11.5.10.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.
Form:WSHFRREL.FMB - Launch Pick Release Form

Goal

In 11.5.10, there is a new field named 'Subinventory' in the release sales order and the
picking rules forms. It is in the Inventory tab (The one located right under Warehouse).
This is in addition to the 'Pick From Subinventory' from previous releases.
Prior to 11.5.10, 'Pick From Subinventory' is used both as selection criteria and as suggested sourcing subinventory.

In 11.5.10, the fields are separated out. The new field 'Subinventory' is used as
selection criteria and the old field 'Pick From Subinventory' is used as suggested sourcing
subinventory.

Important:
There is an additional restriction on this new 'Subinventory' field.
If this new 'Subinventory' field is used during pick releaser, then the value here must match the value specified in the 'Subinventory' field on the Sales Order line.
Then the line will be pick released.  If they do not match, then the line will not pick.
