How to Purge Large Volume of Shipping Exceptions (Doc ID 343376.1)

Symptoms

When attempting to purge exceptions,  the following error occurs:

"ORA-04030:
Out of process memory when trying to allocate 490904 bytes (callheap,DARWIN)"

STEPS
1. Order Management superuser
2. Navigate to Shipping -> Exceptions
3. From the View Exceptions window go to Tools menu -> resolve purge exceptions
4. Resolve/Purge Exceptions form:  Enter criteria of exceptions to be purged (for example, status = Closed"),  then select Action = Purge.

 Due to this issue, users cannot purge the exception table that is growing in size
