Error When Editing Journal After Unfreezing Journal Source - GLXJEENT FRM-40200 - Field Protected Against Update (Doc ID 359502.1)

Symptoms

When the user tries to modify or delete a journal imported from subledger, even if the source is not frozen, the following error occurs on the form:

GLXJEENT FRM-40200 - Field Protected Against Update

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

  1. The user logs into the Application
  2. Navigate to General Ledger responsibility > Setup > Journal > Source
  3. Query the journal source
  4. Set the 'Freeze Journals' to 'No' and Save the change
  5. Navigate to General Ledger responsibility > Journals > query the journal
  6. The user tries to update or delete the journal
  7. When the Save button is pressed, the error message occurs.
