Last updated on MAY 05, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Process Manufacturing Process Execution - Version 11.5.10 to 12.2 [Release 11.5 to 12.2]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

This document is to understand the setup and text to be used as Process Instructions on the batches in OPM.  Text tokens created at the formula and routing levels can automatically be copied to the steps section of a production batch.

Please be aware that this Article describes the original Oracle Process Manufacturing (OPM) 'Process Instructions' feature which is based exclusively on OPM Text Paragraphs.

There is another, completely different feature called 'Enhanced Processing Instructions' in the Manufacturing Execution System (MES) Product which is also available for use against OPM Routings, Recipes and Batches from Release 12 onwards.

Please see the OPM Product Development and OPM MES Operations User Guides for details on how to set up MES Instruction Sets and Instructions for use with OPM Routings, Operations, Activities and Recipes, and also how to pass these Instructions to a new Production Batch.
