Enhancement to Mass Additions Interface for Load of Assets With Non-Category Default Values
(Doc ID 364917.1)
Last updated on NOVEMBER 01, 2017
Applies to:Oracle Assets - Version 11.5.9 to 220.127.116.11 [Release 11.5]
Information in this document applies to any platform.
When using the Mass Additions Interface (FA_MASS_ADDITIONS) to load assets, until now, certain asset values/ definitions could not be specified in the interface and those values were automatically populated from the Category Default values, when the mass addition was posted.
For example, if a legacy asset was no longer depreciating under the Category Default Depreciation Method and Life, it was not possible to specify the actual Method and Life in the mass additions interface table. The asset would be posted with the Category Default Method and Life, and these values would then need to be updated on the posted asset, in the period of addition. This could involve time-consuming workarounds for large implementations and data conversions.
Enhancement Request (ER) <Bug 1132809> was logged to request such columns to be added to the FA_MASS_ADDITIONS table.
