Last updated on JANUARY 22, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle Inventory Management - Version 11.0.3 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.
INVTTMTX.fmb

Symptoms

When performing a subinventory transfer or miscellaneous issue transaction on a lot controlled
item, it allows Users to transact lot numbers which are invalid (do not exist in inventory).

STEPS

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
INV: Transactions > Subinventory Transfer (form INVTTMTX version 11.0.59) and also Transactions > Miscellaneous Transaction (also form INVTTMTX version 11.0.59)

Users enter the item, subinventory, locator information. If Users enter an invalid lot number,
they do not get an error message that this lot number is not valid for this item and subinventory
and locator. When they enter the quantity and hit Save, they do get a warning that this
transaction will result in negative inventory but it does let them save the transaction if they
hit OK.
