Why Does iProcurement Sometimes Display Price With Currency Precision and Other Times With Higher Precision? (Doc ID 376032.1)

Last updated on SEPTEMBER 17, 2021

Applies to:

Oracle iProcurement - Version 11.5.10 to 12.2 [Release 11.5 to 12.2]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

When the precision specified for the currency in iProcurement, why does the application display a long string of decimal values during requisition checkout?

Navigation Path:

1. Log in to iProcurement

2. Search for item

Price = 6.15 CAD

3. Add the item to the shopping cart and view the shopping cart

Quantity = 10
Price = 6.07075719535988 CAD
Amount (CAD) = 60.71

NOTE: There is a price break so that is the reason for the price being 6.07 rather than 6.15, but why is the decimal precision not maintained for the price. It is expected that the price will appear as 6.07 rather than 6.07075719535988
