Unable To Cancel Order Line With Associate Approved Dropship PO, Error: You are not allowed to Delink the Config item order line (Doc ID 376641.1)

Symptoms

On 11.5.10 in Production:
When attempting to cancel an option line off of a configured model with an approved PO, the following error occurs.

ERROR
You are not allowed to Delink the Config item order line (1.1..0) and Model (3765*237263) because the associated purchase order is already approved.
Trying to Delink the starred Item, Config item order line (1.1..0) , by selecting Delink Item from Actions.
Note shown:
APP-ONT-251144: Delink Config Item action may only be performed on an ATO model line.

STEPS
Responsibility: Order Management Super User (or equivalent)
Navigate: Order management super user / orders, returns / sales orders enter a sales order with an ATO line with options.
Book the sales order.
Run progress order through the actions button with cursor placed on the ATO model line to create the configured item.
NAV: Order management super user / orders, returns / purchase release run purchase release for the order
NAV: Order management super user / orders, returns / requisition import run requisition import for order entry
NAV: Purchasing Super User / Requisition Summary Find the requisition for the sales order
NAV: Purchasing Super User / AutoCreate Create a PO for the Requisition Open the PO and approve it.
Go back to the sales order and change one of the option line's quantities to 0, enter a cancellation reason. Save.
