Oracle Support Policy Regarding Requests To Assist With Custom Checkwriter Reports

The purpose of this document is to advise customers on Oracle's Support policy regarding giving advice
This follows scenarios where non-Oracle developers have created custom reports (rdf's) for the standard check writer (PAYUSCHK.rdf) and the standard Deposit Advice report (PAYUSPST.rdf) and have subsequently requested assistance from Oracle Support regarding the best way to modify the Oracle E-Business Suite environment so that PYUGEN calls the custom modules and not the provided versions.
A similar situation has also been known to happen whereby, for testing purposes, a user has renamed the Oracle reports and replaced them with soft links that point to the custom reports.
Therefore, it seems appropriate to restate the Oracle Support policy to these scenarios.
