Customer Form, Contacts Issue: Why Can't the Record for a Party of Type=Person be its Own Contact? (Doc ID 392934.1)

Symptoms

When you create a new customer record of Type = Person, why can't you use that same record to be the Contact. Since this customer is not an organization but rather an individual, it is likely that the contact would also be himself, so why do you need to create his information as both Customer and Contact

Steps To Reproduce:
Responsibility: Receivables Manager
Navigation: Collections > Customer Calls

Responsibility: Receivables Manager
Navigation: Customers > Standard.
