Repair Order Error: 'APP-FND-00698: Flexfield segment combination not found.' When Updating Logistics Line

Symptoms
When attempting to update the return line logistics on a repair order, the following error occurs:
'APP-FND-00698: Flexfield segment combination not found.
Inform your system administrator that the combination identified by the unique ID number <id> could be found in the combinations table for the flexfield structure identified by Application = INV, Flexfield Code = MTL and Structure Number 101'
This is happening only if the profile option 'Service: Inventory Validation Organization' is set to master organization. If this profile is set to a child organization, the error does not occur.
Steps To Reproduce:
1. Create a Repair Order.
2. Receive RMA.
3. Update logistics.
This error can be also generated when opening the Repair Order form for a Repair Order or Service request.
