How to price a Service Line Based on the Product being Covered and other Contract Attributes
(Doc ID 397258.1)
Last updated on APRIL 04, 2025
Applies to:
Oracle Service Contracts - Version 11.5.10.2 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Goal
The Price of a Service Item is dependent upon the product being covered in the subline of the contract.
For example:
Service Item A covering Covered Product A costs $100 per Year.
Service Item B covering Covered Product B costs $200 per Year.
The Service Price is in no way related to the Price of the Covered Product. Because of this, Percentage Based Pricing will not meet this requirement.
Additional factors are also required to be used in the derivation of the Service Price. These include the Reaction Time and Resolution Time selected in the Coverage for the Service.
Does Advanced Pricing provide seeded attributes to meet these requirements?
