Oracle Alert does not sent any emails whereas it did process all the defined periodic alerts and / or event alerts properly in the past. Various symptoms are applicable to the problem definition:
- Notifications are no longer being sent out to the users even though sendmail does work from the command line.
- The Alert Check does work properly and the corresponding request are completed normal yet no email is received.
- Periodic Alerts nor Event Alerts are not sending out any emails and no errors are encountered.
- The Alert History form in Oracle Alerts show that the alert was triggered yet no email was sent to the users.
Applied <Patch 4676589> 11i.ATG_PF.H Rollup 4 (11i.ATG_PF.H.RUP4) or later.
