Last updated on JUNE 01, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Service Fulfillment Manager - Version 11.5.9 to 12.1.3 [Release 11.5 to 12.1]

Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

The purpose of this document is the explain when the SFM managers can be disabled in an environment.  Can you safely disable SFM without affecting other licensed products?

The SFM Managers can cause EBS applications to take a long time to shut down or excessive redo log switches.

If EBS is taking a long time to shut down the following java processes may be killed to speed up the shutdown of the Data Base tier.

What are these processes and why are they stuck during shut down?  Are these processes necessary or can they be deactivated?
