Debrief Error: Multiple Active Instances Found For The Item Attributes Provided

When attempting to process a Debrief, the following error occurs:
Inventory Item ID : ####
Organization ID : ###
Sub-Inventory : &SUBINV
Locator ID : &LOCATOR
Action: Check for duplicate inventory records found in CSI_ITEM_INSTANCES
After checking the Transaction Error form in the Oracle Installed Base Admin responsibility, no error is found. Also, ran the concurrent program 'Install Base Error Correction and Synchronization Program' in the Report mode and the report output produced no discrepancy in setup or data.
This problem does not occur when the stock is available in only one stock locator within a sub-inventory. The issue invariable occurs when the stock is available in more than one stock locator in a particular sub-inventory (which is used while doing the debrief).
