Industrial Classification Does Not Appear In OCO Organization Overview Page
(Doc ID 405164.1)
Last updated on OCTOBER 13, 2022
Applies to:
Oracle Customers Online - Version 11.5.10.2 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
In Oracle Customers Online (OCO), the industrial classification does not appear in the Organization Overview page after a Standard Industrial Code (SIC) classification is assigned to the party under the Classifications link.
This behavior is inconsistent and incorrect due to the following reasons:
-- There is not a way in Oracle Customers Online (OCO) to populate and/or view Industrial Classification at organization profile level. As a result, when an account is created for this party, the SIC Code field still remains blank because the value is not populated at the organization profile level (this is incorrect because SIC classification has been assigned to the party).
-- There is not a way to identify a particular SIC code as primary through the Oracle Customers Online Screen.
-- When DNB integration (Batch or Online toolkit) created SIC classification, it makes the data consistent under both classifications section and organization profile section (this is correct behavior, and OCO screen is not consistent with this).
-- When data is imported from source systems using Bulk Import, if the HZ_IMP_CLASSIFICS_INT import table is populated with PRIMARY_FLAG = ‘Y’, classifications get created for the organization, and the primary classification also gets de-normalized and updated at the organization profile level (this is correct behavior, and OCO screen is not consistent with this).
-- When Telesales -> eBusiness Center responsibility is used to create a primary SIC classification for an organization, gets de-normalized and updated at the organization profile level (this is correct behavior, and OCO screen is not consistent with this).
Steps to reproduce:
-Oracle Customers Online Superuser, Customers tab
-Enter an organization
-Click on the Classifications link on the left
-Assign an Industrial Classification
-Click on the Overview link on the left
-Note that the Industrial Classification field is blank
