Empty Input (Or Null) Is Not Allowed When Connecting To The Discoverer Viewer From Apps

On 11.5.0 in Production:
When attempting to connect to Non-SSL Discoverer viewer from applications after implementing SSL in applications, the following error occurs:

An error occurred while handling the event. See the application log for more details.
- Empty input (or null input) is not allowed.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Connect to apps which is configured using SSL.
2. From there connect to discoverer which is non-ssl.
3. The error occurs.

The issue has the following business impact:
Due to this issue, users cannot connect from SSL applications to Non-SSL discoverer.


SSL was implemented in applications and not on the discoverer server.
