Apache adstrtal.sh adstpal.sh Scripts Give "Cannot Reconnect To Gateway" With Wrong Apps Username or Password

Symptoms
You are trying to run the one of the following scripts in $COMMON_TOP/admin/scripts/<SID>_<hostname>:
adstpal.sh
adstrtal.sh
Each script requires the apps username and apps password to be provided. They, in turn, call other scripts.
The adstrtal.sh script is returning:
The errors continue for all other services (e.g. Apache Web Server Listener (PLSQL)).
Despite the fact that the errors are given, the final summary report for the adstral.sh script will indicate that each service has been started. The scripts exit with status 0, indicating success.
