Applies to:
Oracle Field Service - Version 12.0.0 to 12.0.6 [Release 12] Information in this document applies to any platform.
Goal
Beginning release R12, Customers using prior versions of the North American (or United Kingdom) Dataset will need to upgrade to the Q1 2005 North American (or United Kingdom) Dataset.
Though originally created for the 2005 dataset, the steps in this note apply to 2008 datasets too. The only thing different would be the number of records inserted in the tables by the navteq data. The script in step 1c of section 2 will work for all versions. Just the tablecounts mentioned after that are specific to 2005.
The benefits derived from upgrading to this new dataset include improved performance for Advanced Scheduler and the Map viewer and more comprehensive coverage.
This document is split up Section 1: Navteq Spatial Data - Pre Installation Steps Section 2: Navteq Spatial Data Installation Section 3: Navteq Spatial Data - Post Installation Steps Section 4: Mapviewer Implementation
This document outlines the procedures, steps and the relevant sections that need to be followed in order to:
