Apps Listener Hang With Internal Error NL-00051 When GSM Enabled (Doc ID 418029.1)

Last updated on APRIL 13, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle Concurrent Processing - Version 11.5.10.2 to 11.5.10.2 [Release 11.5]
z*OBSOLETE: Microsoft Windows

Symptoms

After upgrading the application to 11.5.10.2 when attempting to set the Profile option Concurrent: GSM Enabled = Y, the tnslistener80 hang

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Stop the concurrent manager and the listener
2. The Trace level of the listener is set to 16
3. GSM Enabled = Y
4. Start the Listener and verify it is running
5. Start the concurrent manager which is also running
6. After 30 min the listener hangs
7. When the listener hangs the FNDWRR also hangs (can't view log or output of requests)
8. Stop manually the concurrent manager
9. The listener works again

When the listener stops in step 7, the listener log was having the following lines

NL-00051: internal error code, arguments: [302], [1], [], [], [], [], []
TNS-12502: TNS:listener received no CONNECT_DATA from client

Then the listener starts again after stopping the concurrent manager
