Party Level Credit Checking Not Working (Doc ID 420283.1)

Symptoms

Credit Checking is not working for Customers with Hierarchical Relationship
Type.

Have two Customers with Hierarchical relationship, Customer ABC is a child of Customer ABC-PARENT.
Credit Checking is enabled for both the customers. Set Credit Limit for Customer ABC as NULL and Set Credit Limit for Customer ABC-PARENT is $1000 USD.
Then enter and book the order for Child Customer ABC with Order Limit as $2000, the
order does not go on hold.


EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
Expect that the the child Customer ABC for an order which exceeds Credit Limit, should go on
Credit Check Failure Hold.


STEPS
1) Created the Parent Customer: ABC-PARENT
Profile: Transaction TAB: Credit Check box checked at the Customer Level
Profile: Amounts TAB: Credit Limits set at the Customer Level

---- Credit Limit: $1000
---- Order Credit: $1000

2)Created the Child Customer: ABC
Profile: Transaction TAB: Credit Check box is checked at the address Level with credit
limit as NULL
Profile: Transaction TAB: Credit Check box checked at the Customer Level
Profile: Amounts TAB: Credit Limits not set at the Customer Level

---- Credit Limit: NULL
---- Order Credit: NULL

3) Entered the Sales Order for Child Customer with $2,000 amount.
Order did not go on Credit hold

BUSINESS IMPACT
The issue has the following business impact:
Due to this issue, users cannot use Credit Limit set at Party level.
