Symptoms
When entering a sales order line and leaving the Warehouse field blank, the following error message is displayed and prevents saving:
ERROR
Scheduling Failed.
No APS instance defined. Set APS instance and run collections
You are not using Oracle ASCP and the Check ATP flag on the item is set to No. You have defined sourcing rules in MRP for the item entered and expect these rules to get picked up by order management.
Steps:
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Order Management Super User responsibility
2. Orders, Returns > Sales Orders
3. Create new sales order header
4. Set Warehouse field to blank on header
5. Enter all required fields (ship to, bill to, transaction type)
6. Navigate to Lines tab
7. Enter item
8. Enter uom, quantity
9. Save line > results in error
