Split Shipment By OM Shows Total Weight Of Shipment For Each OM
(Doc ID 427485.1)
Last updated on SEPTEMBER 08, 2016
Applies to:Oracle Transportation Management - Version: 5.5
This problem can occur on any platform.
-- Problem Statement:
When trying to split a shipment by order movement into several order movements, the
resulting screen shows the new order movements, but the total weight/volume for each
order movement is incorrect.
It is the total weight/volume of the shipment rather than of the individual order movement.
-- Steps To Reproduce:
1) Go to shipment manager -actions- change shipment route- Split Shipment
2) Choose "split shipment by order movement".
3) Split shipment screen pops up and shows (for example) 3 order movements.
It shows the total weight and volume of the shipment for each order movement.
For instance, let's assume the initial shipment weighs 30000 kg. Let's further
assume there are 3 order movements on the shipment that weigh 10000 kg each.
The split shipment screen should show each movement and the weight of each
order movement next to it of 10000 kg. Instead for each order movement it shows
30000 kg, which is the total weight or the initial shipment.
-- Business Impact:
Due to this issue the system continues planning with wrong shipment weights.
