When trying to access Discoverer from EBS, the following error message is observed:

An error occurred while handling the event. See the application log for more details.
oracle.discoverer.applications.viewer.events.ApiConnectAndFocusAppsSecureEvent
- Empty input (or null input) is not allowed.

Both Discoverer and EBS are installed on the same server, so there is no issue with servers in different domains.

The Discoverer server and the EBS middle tier server must reside in the same network domain as per <Note 313418.1> Using Discoverer 10.1.2 with Oracle E-Business Suite.

SSL has not been implemented for either environments, so <Note 409008.1> is not applicable. Implementing Discoverer 10g for eBusiness suite as per <Note 313418.1> Using Discoverer 10.1.2 with Oracle E-Business Suite.

Steps To Reproduce:
1. Implement Discoverer 10g for E-Business suite as per <Note 313418.1>
2. Click on a menu item to launch a Discoverer workbook.
